Restoration and Fundraising

Between 2005 and 2009, the church building underwent extensive restoration and conversion works to ensure both safety to the parishioners but also to attain the relevance that a multi-functional building has in modern day society. The result is a more functional church with improved social, meeting and storage facilities but without the loss of the character or heritage of our beautiful Pugin church.

Naturally this activity has built up a debt; this currently stands at somewhere in the region of £100,000. During the course of the year the parish runs a number of events to reduce this debt. Donations are always welcome and cheques can be sent to Fr J. T. Cribben at the address at the bottom left of the page.

In December 2010, the Parish Pastoral Team (PPT) presented to a number of parishioners the culmination of many weeks of work looking at the debt and specifically that it was stuck at 140k. Click here for the presentation.
